G3 Roofing: Revitalizing Carolina Hosiery’s Legacy with Roof Replacement in Graham, NC

This week, G3 Roofing is on-site with a complete roof replacement at one of Carolina Hosiery’s buildings, located in Graham, NC. Carolina Hosiery holds a rich history dating back 70 years.  Founded in 1945 by Ernest Koury, a returning United States Air Force veteran, Carolina Hosiery initially filled the gap in the market for finishing substandard (damaged) hosiery.  Ernest recognized the demand and began buying substandard socks from local hosiery mills, mending them with the help of a few ladies.  It didn’t take long for the business to flourish, necessitating a new plant to accommodate the growth.

From Past to Present: Carolina Hosiery’s History in Graham, NC

In 1956, Carolina Hosiery transitioned its operations to produce and finish first-quality hosiery, a shift that marked a significant milestone.  Even after 70 years, this third-generation family-owned company continues to thrive, utilizing approximately 350 knitting machines within their expansive 300,000-square-foot facility.  Carolina Hosiery prides itself on being a complete product production facility, from thread to foot, while emphasizing the use of materials manufactured exclusively in the USA.
